Fareham Local Children’s Partnership (LCP) is the ‘delivery arm’ of Hampshire Children’s Trust in the Fareham area. It is responsible for implementing the priorities of Hampshire’s Children and Young People's Plan through the development and implementation of a LCP delivery plan.
Fareham borough has one LCP from a total of 18 in Hampshire.
There are 15 Partnership members on the Strategic Board, including representatives from local schools, Fareham College, Hampshire County Council (Children's Centres and the Youth Service), Fareham Borough Council, the Voluntary sector, Community Health Care, Police, Wessex Youth Offending Team among others.
There are three groups, referred to as “Practitioner Groups” that meet for the under 7 year olds, 7-14 year olds and 14-19 young people. The Practitioners understand how things work in practice and their aim is to agree projects and programmes for board approval that will improve life for the Children and Young People of Fareham.
